A new Food Lover’s Market store is coming to Bothasig in the Western Cape October 20 2022.
With an array of fresh food and grocery offerings and a “dazzling display of shopping theatre” inside, it promises to be a premium shopping experience,” CEO and co-founder of the Food Lover’s Market Group, Brian Coppin said.
This 3000m2 stand-alone site represents a R100m investment. The cost of the land and the buildings was R70m and the cost of the store fitting and setup was R30m.

“We are a family business and, from our tables to yours, we want you to feel that sense of warmth and family when you visit our store,” said Coppin.
“As a result, significant thought has gone into the Bothasig team,” he adds.
The store will be managed by Valentino Ricciardi, a retailer with 42 years of experience. Ricciardi has been part of the Food Lover’s family for the past 29 years, since the company was founded.
He will manage a 150 person team. As many as 25 of the team will be part of the gourmet Butchery section, which is the largest butchery in the Food Lover’s Market Group.
“With a new store comes a new team and we’ve loved welcoming more smiling faces to the Food Lover’s family and getting to know one another,” said Ricciardi.
The new store will include the butchery, a fresh produce section, a seafood section, a bakery, a cheese area, a deli, hot prepared foods Crispy Chicken, Bubs Fish & Chips and Pie O’My.
The store is located at the intersection of the Link and Vryburger Roads in Bothasig.
