A specialised health centre is set to open in Northcliff, Johannesburg in the coming weeks.
The Johannesburg Surgical Hospital will offer an array of services and house specialist doctors.
A group of specialists managed to raise money to bring a top-end, much-needed specialist hospital to Johannesburg.
The hospital will have 150 beds, 13 theatres and 36 specialists on board. The specialists promise to use new technology to serve patients. Different surgical procedures could be performed with less invasive techniques than in previous years.
“Our specialities will include: Neurosurgeons, Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic surgeons, Vascular surgeons, Orthopedic surgeons, General surgeons, Plastic surgeons, Urologists, Nephrologist, Pulmonologist, Intensivist, Neurologist, Rheumatologist and Radiologists,” the group said on its website.
Let’s see how accessible the hospital will be for SA’s burgeoning middle class. The hospital is valued at R700m and is located at 219 Beyers Naudé Drive.
