Ingenuity Property Investments, which has a core focus on acquiring and developing properties in the Western Cape, has found that industrial properties can be used for more than typical uses such as housing factories, warehousing and logistics, assembly, and storage.
The group recently signed Lamborghini and Bentley to occupy a retail showroom at its property at 14 Dreyer Street in Claremont, walking distance from upper-market shopping centre, Cavendish Square.
The company has also rented space out to film production companies and events and eventing companies. International films have used industrial properties owned by Ingenuity.
“We must be creative and smart with how we use space in our buildings. We have found a gradual demand for more mixed-use space across the country and especially in Cape Town,” asset management and leasing specialist at Ingenuity, Lara Schenk says.
