Last night, Property Flash (propertyflash.co.za) was awarded Property News Website of the Year – Runner-Up by the South African Property Owners Association (Sapoa) for 2024. This was part of awards held annually at the conference. The conference took place at Sun City, South Africa from Tuesday until Thursday night. Editor and managing director of Property Flash, Alistair Anderson has been awarded News Journalist of the Year and Features Journalist of the Year, a number of times in the past.
Property News Journalist of the Year 2024 was Joan Muller of Business Live and the runner-up was Melinda Chidau. Property Feature Journalist of the Year was Chanel Retief of Forbes Africa and
Property Feature Journalist of the Year runner-up was Denise Mhlanga, a freelancer.
Property Wheel was awarded Property Website of the Year for 2024, while Publication of the Year Digital/Print was awarded to Asset Magazine. The runner-up was Positive Impact Magazine.
Anderson said he was honoured.
“I have covered commercial property for more than a decade and appreciate being recognised by the judges from the industry. I will strive to deliver the best journalism I can, be it news, in-depth features, enlightening interviews or hardline investigative work. Congratulations to the other winners and nominees,” he said.
