Francois Swart, the alleged holiday swindler and CEO of Priority Escapes, is out on bail after turning himself in.
He faces criminal charges and might holiday in jail soon. He allegedly scammed people out of hundreds and thousands of rands in an elaborate Maldives racket.
In August 2023, Priority Escapes cancelled clients’ trips to the Maldives without warning and despite full payment. Swart said his agency could not meet its financial obligations.
