Attacq, the JSE-listed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and strategic development partner of Waterfall City, has launched Gateway East, an office and lifestyle development in the heart of Waterfall City. Positioned between Johannesburg and Pretoria, they said that Gateway East would offer “an unmatched blend of connectivity, modern design, and flexible workspaces, reinforcing Waterfall City’s status as the preferred destination for forward-thinking businesses”.
“Gateway East reflects Attacq’s commitment to delivering future-proof, high-quality spaces that meet the evolving needs of modern businesses. This development enhances Waterfall City’s unique value proposition as a connected, innovative, and sustainable urban centre,” said David Oosthuizen, Development Executive at Attacq.
he said it offered direct access to two of the busiest highways in the country, proximity to three major airports, including O.R. Tambo International and was just minutes from the Midrand Gautrain station, Gateway East ensures seamless regional and international connections.
The development complements Waterfall City’s vibrant urban ecosystem of commercial, retail, residential, restaurants, and logistics space, according to Oosthuizen.
Gateway East, which will be integrated with the Mall of Africa, features approximately 10,000m² of gross lettable area, including flexible collaboration hub space with a 90% efficiency, and a mix of independently operated restaurants.
“Our vision for Gateway East was to create more than just an iconic Collaboration Hub development at the entrance to Waterfall City, but also toto design a collaborative, people-focused environment that fosters productivity, well-being and growth. We are thrilled to see this vision brought to life,” said Oosthuizen.
