In honour of Mandela Day 2024 Exemplar REITail, Atteridge Stadium Centre and Delivery
Ka Speed partnered to help survivors of gender based violence, substance abuse and trauma.

Together they painted, furnished and donated assorted items to the Atteridgeville SAPS
Trauma Unit, embodying the spirit of #ChangeforGood.

Exemplar REITail said the initiative was rooted in the shared mission of all three organisations: to prioritise
community well-being and invest in the lives of individuals. Exemplar and Delivery Ka Speed have worked together for almost 18 months to provide local upliftment for community members throughout the Exemplar portfolio of retail centres.

Exemplar owns, builds and manages a portfolio of rural and township retail centres.

Delivery Ka Speed provides last mile delivery services that connect communities, ‘ka speed’, while Atteridge Stadium Centre serves as a hub for community engagement and development, having recently hosted their first annual career day expo for local learners and University students.

Together the team assisted with the following:

  • Sponsorship and painting of the trauma unit
  • Donation of chairs, desks and office furniture
  • An Asus i5 laptop and printer
  • R15 000 worth of toys, stationery and supplies
  • Three Samsung tablets
  • A Wi-Fi router and three months unlimited internet
Mandela Day encourages individuals and organizations to act and inspire change within their
communities. This partnership exemplifies that call, turning words into action and
demonstrating that collective efforts can yield significant results. “For us as Delivery Ka Speed, giving back to our townships is very important as our
business predominately trades in townships. We are always honoured to be part of such
initiatives to provide #ChangeForGood. As the country is battling with high rates of GBV statistics, it is great for us to know that we are assisting in providing a safe place for victims to feel free and be able to express themselves freely. It is very important to always know that there is a safe place to go. We provided the centre with high-speed internet, laptop and other electronics to assist them with their daily duties, such as reports,” said founder of Delivery Ka Speed, Godiragetse Mogajane.
