Peter Maskell Auctioneers will bring two substantial Pietermaritzburg residential developments, Acacia Park and Signal Hill, to Live Public Auction on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, commencing at 10h00.
Duly instructed by the Joint Liquidators of Capital City Housing NPC (In Liquidation), Master’s Ref. No. N000038/2022, the auction presents an opportunity to acquire two established residential developments comprising a combined 704 residential units.
The auction will be held at Redlands Hotel and Spa (Conference Room), 1 George MacFarlane Lane, Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
Acacia Park – Pelham
Situated at 106 Oribi Road, Pelham, Pietermaritzburg, Acacia Park comprises 311 residential flats on a property extending approximately 6.3910 hectares. The residential mix comprises 22 one-bedroom, 272 two-bedroom and 17 three-bedroom units, providing considerable scale within an established residential rental development. A further feature of Acacia Park is a proposed subdivision comprising five residential improvements forming part of the development.
Signal Hill – Pietermaritzburg

Two Alternative Sale Bases
Each development will be offered as a Going Concern under two mutually alternative sale scenarios:
A. Social-Housing-Restricted Scenario – subject to the existing social-housing framework, title conditions and applicable consents; OR B. Unrestricted Scenario – a non-social/conventional residential going-concern scenario, subject to obtaining all approvals, consents, releases or variations required in respect of the existing social-housing restrictions.
Only one of the alternative sale scenarios for each development may ultimately be accepted and implemented.
