The City of Cape Town is hosting an auction on Tuesday October 1. This is in line with a popular trend where numerous private property owners are choosing to sell their assets through the auction process as opposed to by other means.
Just today, Auction Inc., a Johannesburg-based auction house which operates across the country, hosted an auction at Masingita House in Houghton, Johannesburg.
The Cape Town auction will take place at The DHL Stadium in Green Point. This is the world class stadium which is home to The Stormers rugby team. As many as 44 properties will be pit up for auction, including 41 vacant and improved sites, along with three council-owned lease properties. The event will be conducted by High Street Auctions.
The properties include a mix of industrial land near the N1, beachfront commercial leases, and adjoining lots in Constantia.
